OneScan for health systems

Stop bad data,
not patient medications.

Receiving now takes three scans, and one bad supplier file can hold a whole order in quarantine while your patients wait for medications they need. This page answers the questions that health system pharmacy, IS and supply chain teams ask most frequently when they evaluate a DSCSA platform.

OneScan Investigator

Clean data before the dock

Your compliance depends on data you don't create. When a supplier's EPCIS file arrives incomplete or malformed, the cost lands on your receiving team: a quarantined tote, hours spent chasing a supplier, product waiting on paperwork.

OneScan Investigator checks every inbound file against GS1 standards and DSCSA requirements as it arrives. That happens before your product does. When a file fails, Investigator rejects it back to the supplier and tells them what to correct. The corrected file comes back to you, so your team receives against data that's already right.

A passing scan can still be a non-compliant receipt. Missing or incomplete transaction records are a documented FDA finding, and you have two business days to produce those records on request.

Missing transaction statements and product identifiers are caught at the file, not at the dock

Receiving

Receiving, every way you receive

Scan a tote, case or pallet once to receive everything in it. There's no need to scan unit by unit. Several team members can receive different orders at the same time.

Every scan shows what your receiving team needs to see:
Product name
GTIN
NDC
Serial number
Lot
Expiration
Shipping distributor
Destination site

Partial shipments

Receive what arrived and leave the rest open. Finish when the late tote shows up.

Site-level views

Users see only the sites they work in. Corporate pharmacy sees all of them.

Clinics without a scanner

Receive with a phone or tablet camera.

Exceptions

Exceptions, handled end to end

When a scan doesn't match the data, OneScan tells you right away and gives you a path to resolve it.

A short tote

Audit the container item by item. The order shows how many units are missing.

An over-shipment or a product with no data

The scan flags it so it can be quarantined. An Investigator case opens with the supplier, site and error type filled in.

DSCSA-exempt products

The scan tells you it's exempt so it stays out of quarantine.

Investigator emails the supplier with what to send so you can resolve the exception. Every case keeps an audit trail that shows what's open, what's resolved and how long it took.

Supplier network

Your suppliers, already connected

OneScan works across the supply chain, from manufacturers and wholesalers to pharmacies and health systems. That means many of your suppliers are likely already connected to our network. Add your suppliers in OneScan and our Exchange module automates the connections using their GLNs.

A dedicated LSPedia team connects any supplier outside our network. We also follow up with any supplier that's slow to send data.

Integrations

Integrations

DSCSA should work inside the systems your pharmacy already runs. OneScan integrates with Epic Willow Inventory, exchanging files over AS2 and SFTP, and with Omnicell. With integration, the DSCSA check happens inside the receiving putaway your technicians already do, with no second system open.
