LSPedia Spreads Holiday Cheer with Donation Drive for Maybury Elementary School

Located right here in the Detroit Public Schools Community District, Maybury is home to 323 bright, eager, and incredible students. They are our neighbors and our future, and we wanted to ensure that this festive season is as magical for them as possible. That’s why we organized a dedicated donation drive with one simple, heartfelt goal: to ensure that every single student walks away with a special gift this holiday.

But this effort is about more than just the gifts themselves. It’s about the message those gifts carry.

When a community comes together to support its schools, it sends a powerful reminder to the students and their families that they are seen, valued, and supported. The Sharing Smiles Initiative was built on the belief that small acts of kindness can create ripples of positive change. By rallying around Maybury Elementary, we hope to spark a little extra joy in these children's lives.
